Plastic containers:

Transparent and colored plastic bottles in PET (all beverages bottles , water, juice, soda, etc).

Non transparent plastic bottles in HDPE and PP (shampoo and personal care bottles, milk bottles and gallons, home care bottles, etc).

Metal cans:

All aluminium beverage cans.

Ferrous cans (tuna cans, tomato cans, etc).

Glass:

Transparent and colored glass bottles (water, juice, soft drink)

Food containers glass jars, preserved food containers

Note: No contamination, cermanics, porcelain, crockery, window glass, mirrors, bulbs, tubes, laboratory or medical glass to be dropped into the recycling bag.

Paper & Cardboard:

Office paper, mix paper, paper cutting waste, newspaper, magazines, brochures, kraft paper packaging, sack kraft, etc.

All types of cardboard (moisture free).

With 2 sorting facilities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the materials collected by Veolia are sorted per waste category. The recovered recyclables are compacted and baled to be efficiently transported to local recycling and transformation facilities.

In the UAE, Veolia is committed to work with local recyclers and today we are proud to send all your PET plastic beverages bottles to a PET Recycling Facility for Food-Grade Application and the new raw materail extracted is then sent to Al Ain Water bottle company.

That's why you can find now in the UAE Al Ain Water 100% recycled bottles in most of the retail supermarkets.

Regarding glass & paper, the recyclables are sent to a recycling facility that realizes the sorting and recycling.

The product is exclusively available for certain communities at Yas Island and not the entire Island, similarly the product is not available for non Yas Island residents and any subscription outside the Island subscribed would be cancelled by Veolia without any intimation.
